Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Electrical Project Engineer to support our data center projects. This role is ideal for recent university graduates with a degree in Electrical Engineering and prior internship experience. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing the installation and testing of electrical systems in data centers, working alongside experienced engineers and project managers. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electrical project engineering within the data center industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist in coordinating the installation of electrical systems in data centers, following project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Technical Assistance: Support the supervision of subcontractors during the installation of power distribution systems, UPS, and generators, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality checks to ensure all electrical installations meet safety and project requirements.
- Problem Solving: Collaborate with the project team to identify and resolve any issues that arise during installation, gaining hands-on troubleshooting experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure project milestones are met.
- Testing and Commissioning: Assist in the testing, commissioning, and handover processes for electrical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Documentation: Help maintain accurate records, including technical reports, installation logs, and as-built drawings.
- Compliance: Support the team in ensuring all work adheres to local electrical codes, standards, and internal safety policies.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Internship Experience: Previous internship experience in electrical engineering, ideally in a related industry.
- Basic Technical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS, and generators.
- Project Support Skills: Willingness to learn and assist in managing project timelines and subcontractors with a focus on quality and safety.
- Communication: Good communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with contractors and stakeholders.
- Travel: Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
