Summary
Lead and oversee the execution of large-scale events and conferences. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, coordination and delivery, ensuring the seamless organisation of high-profile functions that support the clients' marketing and communications objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement comprehensive event plans, including budgeting, scheduling, vendor management and on-site coordination
- Liaise with cross-functional teams, clients and external suppliers to guarantee the successful delivery of events
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, troubleshoot issues and implement contingency plans as needed
- Measure and analyse event performance, providing detailed post-event reports and recommendations for improvement
- Manage a team of event coordinators, providing guidance, mentorship and performance feedback
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the company's event capabilities
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years' experience in event project management, preferably within the marketing & communications field
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-profile events to a consistently high standard
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the confidence to liaise with clients and suppliers
- Adaptable and resourceful, with a solutions-focused mindset to overcome challenges
- Proficient in event management software and tools
- Relevant tertiary qualification in event management, marketing or a related discipline
