(A) Job Summary:
The Tunnel Engineer produces work plan and supervises the bored tunnelling work to deliver the product to the requirement of the project. He/she is expected to work well with the teammates to achieve the shared goals. Working in shifts (Day/Night) will be required.
(B) Essential Job Functions:
The Tunnel Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Provide planning of tunnelling operation from safety, quality, and productivity viewpoint.
- Provide engineering supervision to bored tunnelling operation, including final ring selection and selection of key.
- Ensure the work is done in compliant with the protocol established for the project.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders.
- Report to Tunnel Manager / Deputy Tunnel Manager / Sr Tunnel Engineer.
(C) Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:
- Recognized bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of TBM bored tunnelling experience.
- Large diameter (over 10m diameter) bored tunnelling experience.
- Hydro-Shield TBM experience (if applicable)
