Position: Assistant Manager in Meat Processing
Job Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Meat Processing Manager in overseeing daily operations of the meat processing facility.
- Coordinate and supervise processing and packaging activities to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Support developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels and ordering raw materials as needed.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
- Aid in training and guiding processing staff to enhance efficiency and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
Qualifications:
- Food Science, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in meat processing or food production.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
Skills:
- Proficient in software/tools related to meat processing, e.g., ERP systems.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
