Location: Punggol Primary School, 61 Hougang Avenue 8, Singapore
Contract Duration: 1 January 2025 – 30 November 2025
Working Hours:
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:30 AM – 4:45 PM (inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break)
- 42.5-hour workweek
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays
- Working hours may vary based on school requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- ICT Course Delivery for Students:
- Teach New Media Literacies, including curation, connection, and creation.
- Conduct touch typing classes using school-owned software.
Educate students on internet security, responsible content research, and copyright issues. - Train students on the school’s Learning Management System (LMS) – Student Learning Space (SLS).
- Provide instruction in basic photo editing and video creation techniques.
- Deliver training on G Suite Education Apps (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, Classroom) and Google Site.
- Conduct ICT Baseline Assessments to evaluate students’ digital competency.
- Use web-based collaboration tools such as Padlet, Kahoot, Moo-o, and Mentimeter.
- Teach coding and programming basics with applications such as Scratch, Scratch Junior, Scratch Up, and Microbit.
- Administrative and Other ICT Support Tasks:
- Assist school leaders and the Head of Department (HOD) in any other ICT-related tasks as required.
- Perform additional administrative duties related to ICT training, assessments, and course preparation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Preferably holds a Diploma or equivalent in an ICT-related field.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in training primary school students in ICT software and digital literacy skills.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Google Suite for Education (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, and Classroom).
- Skilled in coding platforms (e.g., Scratch, Scratch Junior, Scratch Up, Microbit).
Proficient in basic video creation using software like iMovie.
Skilled in creating animations using software such as Powtoons.
- Interpersonal Skills:Strong communication and instructional skills to effectively engage young learners.
Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and leaders to enhance students’ ICT learning experience.
