Our client is an innovative, Singapore-based startup specializing in digital handwriting and note-taking applications. Their product boasts over two million users worldwide and has achieved significant success in APAC, North America and Europe. The team comprises experienced software engineers from leading tech firms like Google and Microsoft.
Role Overview:
The Software QA Engineer will be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of the products across iOS, Android, and web platforms. Given the client’s engineering teams and user base in mainland China, it is essential that candidates are fluent in Mandarin (reading, writing, and speaking). This proficiency is vital for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking engineers and users who may have limited English skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual testing on the iOS, Android, and Products in web versions to ensure high performance and usability standards.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as Sentry, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google Play Console Android Vitals to track application stability, identify online issues, reproduce them offline, and report to the development team.
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans, including pre-release testing for new versions, pre-launch testing for features, regular function testing, and regression testing after major bug fixes.
- Document and prioritize test results, including detailed reproduction steps, and collaborate closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Verify and validate fixes post-development, ensuring solutions meet quality standards.
- Communicate complex issues effectively in Mandarin with product and development teams, especially to bridge communication with engineers and users in China.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years working experience as software QA
- Good understanding of iOS, Android, and Flutter Web environments.
- Strong analytical skills, sense of responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Prior experience in software testing (mobile )is preferred.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (written, spoken, and reading) to facilitate collaboration with Mandarin-speaking engineers and users.
