Candidates are expected to:-
- Take lead in planning and deployment of marine resources;
- Take lead in enforcing marine crew discipline;
- Perform compliance checks to ensure personnel and safety at the base and onboard craft;
- Arrange for daily diesel orders and attend to bunker deliveries;
- Coordinate with Fleet Engineering team on the repair and maintenance status of harbour crafts and equipment;
- Update daily records of craft movements, deployment, and craft breakdowns;
- Perform regular checks and surveys on the status and upkeep of base equipment; and
- Assist Section Managers in operational assignments and projects.
The ideal candidate should preferably:-
- Possess at least a Diploma in Engineering (Marine) / Maritime Business / Business / Logistics and Supply Chain Management;
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Be able to remain calm and make logical decisions under stress and emergency situations;
- Be proficient in using computer and mobile device applications/systems;
- Be proficient in MS Office; and
- Be willing to perform shift work (Candidates will be entitled to shift and applicable allowances).
