Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment process for maritime personnel, including crew members and shore-based staff.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs tailored to maritime operations.
- Act as a point of contact for maritime employees, addressing inquiries and providing support on HR policies.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Support the performance appraisal process, working with managers to set clear objectives for maritime staff.
- Assist in the development of performance improvement plans as necessary.
- Identify training needs specific to maritime roles and coordinate relevant training programs, including safety and compliance training.
- Promote ongoing professional development opportunities for seafarers and onshore staff.
- Maintain and update HR policies to ensure compliance with maritime labor laws and international regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to industry-specific HR practices.
- Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs tailored to maritime personnel.
- Analyze compensation data to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures.
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Generate HR reports and analytics to inform management decisions related to maritime operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in the maritime industry.
- Strong understanding of maritime labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
