Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished goods from lorries, ensuring proper stacking and storage procedures.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Conduct regular inspections of the forklift and ensure it is clean, well-maintained, and in optimal working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately tracking incoming and outgoing materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear and free of obstacles.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator license and proven experience in operating forklifts.
- Strong emphasis on safety, adhering to established safety protocols and promoting a safe working environment.
- Excellent understanding of forklift operations, including loading, unloading, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow instructions.
- Candidates with drumming experience will be a better fit.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
