Job Description

Sing Hai Marine Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to expand our footprint within the marine engineering industry, focusing on the sale of CJC Filters, 4-stroke engine spare parts, and marine engine services. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and creating strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth across our core business areas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities in Singapore, Southeast Asia and beyond.
  • Engage and manage relationships with key clients in the maritime and engineering sectors, with a focus on Cummins, Wartsila, Volvo Penta, and MAN engine customers.
  • Promote and expand the sales of CJC Filters, 4-stroke engine spare parts, and service contracts for marine 4-stroke engines.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs.
  • Coordinate closely with the operation and sales teams to ensure service quality aligns with customer expectations.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to assess business development performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

Requirements

  • at least Diploma in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development or sales, ideally within the marine engineering or maritime industry.
  • Strong knowledge of marine engine parts and maintenance services, particularly Cummins, Wartsila, Volvo Penta, and MAN engines.
  • Proven track record in developing and sustaining business relationships and meeting sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential challenges.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required.
