ABOUT THE COMPANY:
I am working with a fast-growing Chinese trading company that is a subsidiary of a large, established petrochem refining enterprise. They are looking to expand their SEA operations. In particular, we are looking to hire experienced Traders to join their Singapore office and have headcounts for:
1) Bitumen Trader (physical);
2) Pet Coke Trader (physical); and
3) Commodity Futures Trader (preferably in petrochem/oil/LPG)
As Trader, you will be responsible for executing trades of your relevant products, monitoring market dynamics, analyzing market trends, and establishing and maintaining good business relationships with clients to ensure the company's competitive advantage and business growth in the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute trades, including but not limited to buying and selling of relevant products, chemicals, and other related products.
- Analyze market trends and price movements, develop trading strategies to maximize company profits.
- Maintain close contact with suppliers and clients, establish long-term cooperative relationships, and handle relevant contracts and agreements.
- Responsible for overseeing risk management during trade execution to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Participate in market research and competitive intelligence gathering, provide support and advice for company decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, risk management, and legal departments, to ensure smooth execution of trades.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or above, with preference given to majors in chemical engineering, finance, economics, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in trading, familiarity with international markets, related laws and regulations
- Strong market analysis skills and trading expertise, ability to formulate effective trading strategies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and partners from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong team spirit, able to collaborate with multiple departments to complete complex trading operations.
- Proficient in MS Office and trading software such as Bloomberg.
- Fluency in Mandarin is required to liaise with Chinese stakeholders
