- Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential local meat suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with local meat suppliers.
- Order Placement: Place and track purchase orders for meat products.
- Quality Control: Ensure that purchased meat products meet Chee Song Foods' quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor meat inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to avoid shortages or overstocks.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain positive relationships with local meat suppliers.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, prices, and regulations affecting the local meat industry.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and delivery documents.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the meat industry.
- Strong understanding of the local meat industry in Singapore, including suppliers, regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Fluent in English and at least one other local language (e.g., Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
