Principal Consultant - Process Engineering & HSE

As a Principal Consultant - Process Engineering & HSE at INCITIAS you will have the opportunity to work in a highly experienced multidisciplinary team with a focus on creating innovative solutions for our energy transition projects in the field of LNG and alternative fuel import and export terminal solutions.

INCITIAS is known as an innovator in the energy transition industry with a track record since our inception in 2015 of over 60 projects globally.


The Opportunity

We are looking for a Process (Safety) Engineering and HSE Department Head with a minimum of 20 years’ industry related experience to join our team in Singapore.

As a member of the INCITIAS core engineering and management team, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Process Engineering Leadership:
    • Serve as the Principal Process Engineer at INCTIAS including where required provide Process Safety Engineering advise.
    • Provide technical expertise and advisory support on process safety and risk management for LNG terminals, hydrogen projects, and energy transition initiatives.
    • General Process Engineering

2. Team Building and Development:

  • Lead the growth of INCITIAS Process Engineering & Consulting Group in Singapore.
  • Oversee the recruitment and development of new process engineers, enhancing the team’s capabilities and industry impact.

3. Business Development & Upselling:

  • Identify and seize opportunities to upsell INCITIAS’ services to existing and new clients.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals, project bids, and client presentations to secure new contracts and projects.
  • Cultivate and expand business relationships across India, APAC, and global markets.

4. Hydrogen and Green Ammonia Initiatives:

  • Drive leadership in hydrogen-related projects, including the SPARC Hydrogen Photo Catalytic Reactor Hydrogen Pilot Plant.
  • Oversee and consult on green ammonia initiatives, focusing on safety, feasibility, and project implementation for clients across the energy transition spectrum.

5. HAZOP/HAZID Facilitation:

  • Provide expert facilitation of HAZOP and HAZID studies for Incitias projects, ensuring comprehensive risk analysis and mitigation strategies

6. Client Advisory Services:

  • Deliver high-quality process safety and HSE advisory services to INCITIAS clients, leveraging industry expertise to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Support the Sulawesi Maluku Cluster PMC for 1 hub and 5 satellite island LNG terminals, bringing process safety expertise to the multi-site projects.
  • Support the SLNG FSRU project in Singapore

6. Collaboration and Strategic Input:

  • Work closely with INCITIAS Directors and the Singapore General Manager to align business strategy and technical services.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of INCITIAS operations in Singapore and the region.
  • Development of feasibility and concept selection reports, including cost estimation and schedule, risk assessments and option review and selection

About You

Successful applicants for these positions will have:

  • Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Proven track record with minimum 15 years of experience in Process Engineering within the energy sector ora closely related field
  • Experience in high level conceptual studies and feasibility studies through to FID is required with a minimum of five (5) Feasibility/Concept Studies undertaken
  • Minimum of five (5) years as a Lead Process Engineer
  • Minimum of three (3) Yeas as HoD or Section Leader in Process (Safety) and HSE
  • Minimum of five (5) years working for an Engineering Consultancy
  • Minimum of ten (10) years working on LNG/FSRU Projects
  • Experience managing process simulations, heat & mass balances, equipment sizing and specifications, developing, reviewing and approving PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Strong data management and manipulation skills, with excellent computer literacy skills
  • Exposure to cost estimating, project schedule development
  • High level of autonomy and self-motivated
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A willingness to pick up and learn new skills and abilities to match the wide variety of projects you will work on.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Native or fluent & proficient English speaker
