■OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a Business Development and Marketing Specialist in Singapore to drive brand growth by connecting local businesses with design services for the Japanese market. This role involves strategic outreach, event participation, and collaboration with our Japan team to build strong client relationships and achieve 12 new projects annually.
■RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive Brand Growth: Expand the design company’s brand presence among Singaporean businesses looking to enter Japan, with a focus on strategic marketing and relationship-building.
Annual Goal: Achieve 12 new projects by positioning the company as the go-to partner for design services in the Singapore-to-Japan business landscape.

<Earlier stage>
1. Market Research & Brand Positioning
Research Local Market Trends → Identify Emerging Needs and Gaps for businesses expanding to Japan.
Develop Targeted Outreach Campaigns: Use insights to craft campaigns highlighting how design services can meet clients' strategic goals.
2. Lead Generation & Brand Outreach
Execute Targeted Outreach: Identify and connect with key decision-makers through LinkedIn, email campaigns, and phone calls.
Promotional Meetings: Showcase how the company’s design solutions enhance brand perception and customer engagement for companies aiming for the Japanese market.
3. Event Marketing
Participate in Exhibitions and Networking Events: Act as a brand ambassador, building awareness of the company’s design expertise and creating lasting connections.
Post-Event Campaigns: Follow up with attendees to solidify the company’s presence and encourage lead conversions.

4. Customer Relationship & Engagement
Develop Personalized Client Journeys: Engage clients through tailored marketing materials, case studies, and success stories.
Gather Customer Insights: Collect and analyze feedback to refine marketing messages and enhance service appeal.
5. Collaboration with Japan HQ for Campaign Execution
Create Cohesive Marketing Materials: Work with the Japan team to develop client proposals, case studies, and branded presentations.
Coordinate for Seamless Campaigns: Ensure that marketing efforts are aligned across regions to maximize brand consistency.
6. Retention Marketing & Client Follow-Up
Nurture Ongoing Relationships: Engage past clients with email updates, new service promotions, and case studies on successful projects.
Build Loyalty Programs: Develop and execute campaigns to maintain interest and foster repeat collaborations.
■REQUIREMENTS
-Experience: 2+ years in business development, or marketing, ideally within creative, design, or related industries.
-Market Knowledge: Familiarity with Japanese business culture or experience working with Japanese clients is a plus.
-Event Participation: Experience in networking, attending trade shows, or industry events to generate leads and promote brand presence.
-Collaboration Skills: Proactive in coordinating with cross-functional teams, especially with remote teams such as the Japan headquarters.
-Goal-Oriented: Self-motivated with a track record of achieving revenue targets or business development KPIs.
-Tech Skills: Proficiency in Design tools and social media marketing tools

-Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills to engage and build rapport with clients and present design services effectively.
-Client-Focused Mindset: Ability to understand client needs, propose tailored solutions, and provide excellent post-project support.
-Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; Japanese language skills are a bonus but not mandatory.
