Job Description
Food Engineering and Project Management
- Define, propose, review and implement the investment plan approved by top management which involves engineering & project management and conducting feasibility studies in a cost-effective way for the manufacturing plant.
- Oversee the management of VIE program; looking into the objectives of cost improvement , productivity & process improvements, and submission of investment reports.
- Provide technical support to various projects in the manufacturing plant.
- Support sister companies' industrial projects if needed.
Operation and Production
- Review projects and propose solutions to optimize the actual production lines, by improving efficiency and productivity.
- Work towards improvement of the production data collection and analysis.
- Propose and co-ordinate training programs required for process or project improvements.
- Responsible for selection and management of interns who are joining the operations or production teams.
R&D
- Conduct R&D studies on possible incremental or radical innovations to improve our products, such as the design and installation of a new by-product valorization line.
- Study and develop possible incremental or radical innovations in food engineering, especially in the view of valorizing production by-products.
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Master’s degree in food science and food engineering, with competency in project management.
- Experience in project management, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Experience in food science R&D, from lab scale to industrial scaling.
- Strong understanding of food international and local regulations.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in French is an advantage, enhancing communication with French-speaking stakeholders.
- Outstanding computer skills, in Excel, Design and Drawing tools.
- Strong sense of autonomy and proactivity.
