We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior person to lead our enterprise architecture and AI initiatives. A successful candidate will have a global responsibility to lead number of AI initiatives and will also be a senior leader in Singapore to ensure coordination and collaboration across data science and technology talent, aligned with commercial priorities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the coordination and management of our AI team to develop innovative AI solutions that align with LDC business objectives. Oversee multiple AI projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope.
- Define and implement AI strategies, roadmaps, and timelines in collaboration with various commercial and technical stakeholders. Promote synergies between AI, Data Science and Analytics at a global level.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to AI team members. Establish a framework of technical standards and procedures for delivery of AI projects.
- Cultivate external connections with academia and startups to stay at the forefront of AI innovation. Engage with academic institutions to facilitate knowledge exchange and explore opportunities for joint research projects.
- Manage appropriate vendor relationships and workloads effectively.
- Regularly report to executive steering committees on the progress of AI initiatives and ensure their successful implementation.
Experiences:
- At least 10-15 years of relevant working experiences
- Proven experience in leading AI and data science projects, with a strong track record of delivering results
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and overseeing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of the commodity trading industry and its unique challenges and opportunities is a plus
- Experience in implementing and managing AI centers of excellence
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and digital innovation processes
- Previous experience working in a global organization with a diverse and distributed team
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business value through technology and innovation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of data science programming languages such as Python
- Proficiency in data science workbench tools and platforms
- Extensive knowledge of data management and data engineering principles
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture
- Experience with innovation and R&D processes, including the ability to drive and manage research projects
Academics:
- Degree/ Masters in Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Economics or related field of study
