Key Shop Manager

Drives store profitability by meeting or exceeding sales targets through a clear understanding of the consumer/shopper; supports the District Manager in delivery of the P&L by controlling operational expenses; manages the execution of effective and efficient store processes, with the end goal of providing a leading shopping experience.

Key competencies around Consumer Interaction, Store Processes, Retail Excellence, and Employee Engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Takes ownership of the overall store performance and allocates/organizes resources and processes to drive profitability in a variety of situations and market conditions
  • Understands the impact of Retail KPIs and creates action plans around these to directly affect commercial outcomes
  • Has a working knowledge of the store Profit and Loss statement and can make decisions to support the growth of Operating Profit
  • Leads conversations with Back Office team around Category layout and the Shopping journey through an analysis of Sales vs Space
  • Actively stays on top of Consumer Insights and proactively provides the feedback to the Office team to remain close to the consumer
  • Leads the team’s adherence to and implementation of the House of Retail (standards and procedures)
  • Key owner of the Back of House maintenance and control
  • Monitors customer satisfaction and feedback to drive continuous improvement in service standards
  • Optimize inventory management and enhance security in line with company guideline.
  • Leads all People Discipline matters to ensure compliance to company policy
  • Leads all People Development matters, specifically Performance Reviews, Talent Development, and
  • Recruitment/Hiring/On-boarding
  • Continuously sets a culture in pursuit of elevated retail standards through sales floor modelling
  • Inspires the team through being a role model for the Company Values through daily ambassadorship

Requirement
• GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ / ‘A’ levels with a pass in English or equivalent
• Sales driven and results oriented
• Strong passion for customer service
• Relevant experience in the retail industry
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Energetic and motivated with a positive mindset
• Able to lead and motivate the team
• Good knowledge of MS office tools
• Able to work on rotating shift, weekends and public holidays
