Job Description
Programme Design and Implementation
- Organize and manage activities during student engagement programme (e.g., Reintegration Programme, The Catalyst Programme, After-School Engagement) during term time.
- Organize and manage activities at the school’s after-school engagement centre, ensuring they are meaningful and engaging for students.
- Develop holiday programmes during school breaks to maintain student engagement.
Student Supervision and Support
- Supervise students during activities, ensuring safety and positive interactions.
- Help manage and guide students towards building positive peer relationships and social-emotional competencies.
- Monitor and track student participation, following up with school personnel on non-participation.
Mentoring and Guidance
- Mentor identified students with a focus on goal-setting, academic support, and building social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies
- Collaborate with teachers-in-charge to equip students with the relevant skills and values.
Resource Management and Activity Preparation
- Ensure the provision and preparation of necessary materials for all student engagement activities.
- Engage students in maintaining the designated after-school engagement room, ensuring it is conducive for activities.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Provide termly evaluations of the programmes, collecting feedback from students and preparing reports for school.
- Share updates and progress on student participation and programme impact for ongoing monitoring and improvement.
- Ensure adherence to the school’s code of conduct during all activities.
Collaboration with School Personnel
- Work closely with school personnel to provide follow-up support for students needing additional help, including connecting students with community resources.
- Assist with other school-wide initiatives that support the holistic development of students through uplift efforts.
Review and Improvement
- Conduct review of the student engagement programme at the end of the academic year, recommending improvements for future implementation.
Requirements
- Diploma, Degree, or relevant certification from recognized local or international institutions or certification boards in:
- Social Work, Psychology, Education, Youth Work, or a related field.
- Has at least 2 years of experience working with youths.
Working hours
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holiday
