Responsibilities
- Developing new and exciting baked goods recipes
- Overseeing the production of all bakery goods
- Ensuring all products meet quality standards
- Ordering and managing inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
- Training and managing baking staff
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Communicating effectively with suppliers, staff, and management
- Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels
- Troubleshooting any issues relating to baking or staff performance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a baker or head baker
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process
- Capable of creating and modifying recipes
- Experience in managing a team
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations
- Culinary school diploma, Baking and Pastry Arts certification, or relevant field is a plus
