Purpose of the role

To raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients, including financial advisory services, identification and origination of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.


Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of strong relationships with corporate, financial and institutional clients to understand their financing needs and objectives. 
  • Development and maintenance of complex financial models to assess the value of assets, companies, or securities and identify the most appropriate structuring of capital raising initiatives, including equity financing via an initial public offerings, investment grade debt underwriting, leveraged financing solutions for non-investment grade clients, or derivative hedging solutions. 
  • Collaboration with Coverage, M&A, Syndicate, Global Markets, and cross functional teams to ensure successful origination, company due diligence, and execution of various capital market transactions. 
  • Identification, assessment, and management of risks associated with capital markets transactions and development of risk mitigation strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements. 
  • Research, financial data analysis and continued development of market insights and investment recommendations.

Become a member of Barclays’ Investment Banking - Risk Solutions Group, where you’ll provide day-to-day FX & interest rates derivative execution with clients: deal set up, pricing, booking, client KYC and legal onboarding. You’ll be on top of research and developments/trends in the market & be able to translate that into applied knowledge. You’ll have the chance to operate autonomously, think laterally and be technically knowledgeable, with a good foundation in basic derivative. Previous experience with client skills: build relationships, understand their needs and provide solutions, originate deals to benefit from market opportunities will be a plus as well as keen interest in market trends, a quantitative analytical mindset and a hunger to become a derivative solutions expert, ensuring operational efficiency, very high attention to detail. You’ll support team’s across all deals whether self-executed or not and will be building internal relationships with relevant internal stakeholders across Trading, Research, Structuring, Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, and M&A and Corporate Bank. You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role like, excellent interpersonal skills to work with the firm’s various product teams across Trading, Operations, Risk, and Coverage.


This role is deemed as a Certified role under the [ Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)] and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
