Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and inspect Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installations and works on construction sites.
- Ensure that M&E works comply with project specifications, drawings and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality of M&E installations and adherence to safety standards.
- Review M&E shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities.
- Assist in resolving technical issues and provide solutions during the construction phase.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, inspections, and approvals.
- Participate in meetings and discussions related to M&E works progress and issues.
- Conduct tests, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems upon completion.
- Ensure timely completion of M&E works within budget and schedule constraints.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in overseeing M&E works on construction projects.
- Registered as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with the relevant authority (e.g., BCA in Singapore).
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools is advantageous.
