Responsibility
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Lorry Driver to join our team specializing in the installation of industrial machinery and equipment, as well as mechanical engineering works. As a Lorry Driver in this role, you will be responsible for transporting heavy machinery, equipment, and materials to construction sites, factories, and other locations where installation and mechanical engineering works are taking place. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving heavy vehicles, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Job Description
* Safely and efficiently transport industrial machinery, equipment, and materials to various job sites using a lorry or other heavy vehicles.
* Assist with the loading and unloading of machinery and equipment onto the lorry, ensuring that they are properly secured and balanced for transportation.
* Coordinate delivery schedules with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.
* Plan and optimize delivery routes to minimize travel time, fuel consumption, and vehicle wear and tear, while adhering to traffic regulations and safety standards.
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the lorry, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
* Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper loading and securing of cargo, safe driving practices, and compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery schedules, mileage logs, and any relevant paperwork or documentation required for transportation.
* Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules, report any delays or issues, and ensure smooth operations.
* Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders, including assisting with unloading and positioning of machinery and equipment at job sites as needed.
* Loading, Unloading and transporting items to clients in a safe, timely manner.
* Able to carry heavy goods, roughly 20KG - 40KG.
* Able to work in pressure environment and need work under the sun.
* Need work at public holiday, weekend and overtime.
Working Location: KAKI BUKIT, 1ST trip will start at 6 am-630am
Requirement
* At least 2 Year(s) working experience and related field are required for this position.
* Must possess at least higher Education/ Diploma in any field.
* Possess a Singapore Class 3 driving license or able to take Class 3 Driving License.
* Familiar driving on Singapore roads or able to use GPS
* Strategic & critical thinking as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
* Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi task and work independently.
* Excellent customer service skills, including communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and teamwork spirit.
* Time management/ meticulous and mature in work.
