Job Description
• Foster and manage relationships and communications between users and procurement
• Perform procurement planning with departments
• Provide regular reporting of procurement performance and spend analysis
• Develop and deliver training programmes and procurement clinics for university staff on procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
• Develop a sound supplier network, manage supplier relationships and contracts
• Analyse and identify potential consolidation opportunities under strategic buys to optimise procurement efficiencies
• Provide end-to-end support and guide users on procurement policy, procedures and system
• Perform sourcing for General Goods and Services (GGS) category.
• Administer quotation and tender processes and review procurement documents, ensuring adherence to university policy and procedures.
• Participate in the evaluation of bids and conduct negotiations to ensure value for money, prepare recommendation reports, and facilitate the approval and award of bids in consultation with users
• Perform procurement transactions timely in company's procurement system (i.e. publication, bid download, award, PO creation, goods receipt) to meet service levels
• Point of contact between users and other specialist departments such as Legal and Finance
• Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improvements
• Any other duties assigned by the University and Department
Qualifications
• Degree in any field
• At least 3 years of procurement experience in the services sector eg: Education, Healthcare, Public Sector, GLCs, Hospitality, etc.
• Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills
• Results oriented with a demonstrated commitment to teamwork
• Experience as a change agent in an organisation
• Familiar with e-procurement and ERP systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
