JOB SUMMARY
Lead the CIB Data Management & Governance team’s activities in ensuring good Data Management and Data Quality within CIB platforms and process through the following activities:
- Create, maintain and oversee the execution of the CIB Data Quality capability strategy and roadmap.
- Support the Global Head of Data Governance & Governance CIB & EA in exercising oversight of CIB wide Data Management through the CIB Data Forums and/or related committees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- This role is positioned to support the Head of Data Governance & Management CIB & EA and the Head of Data Governance & Programmes CIB, focusing on ensuring good Data Governance and Management.
Business
- Develop a cross-cutting view and understanding of the current state of data, processes, and systems for CIB.
- Develop and maintain the CIB Data Quality capability assessment, formulate the CIB wide strategy and roadmap to deploy the improve capabilities and oversee the execution of the strategy.
- Effectively engage senior business stakeholders across geographies - Strong communication skills and ability to tailor complex content to stakeholder audiences.
- Build strong and effective relationships with programme and business counterparts.
- Proven experience in co-ordination of multiple dependencies and stakeholders in complex environments
Processes
- Develop and maintain CIB wide Data Governance processes that supports the oversight of CIB Data Management activities.
- Master and gain in-depth understanding of the Data Conduct Policy and related Standards.
People & Talent
- Influence teams and individuals across CIB and supporting partners to ensure that deliverables are completed timely and to the required quality standards.
- Effectively manages relevant business stakeholders across CIB.

Risk Management
- Master and gain in-depth understanding of the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
Governance
- Supports the setup and/or maintenance of the relevant Data Governance forums, including the development and maintenance of Data Governance metrics.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to Data Governance requirements across all CIB Data Management teams.
- Provide advisory to CIB on Data Governance matters, supporting CIB Data teams in navigating complex bank wide governance requirements.

Our Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years of strong financial services or consulting experience
- Experience working in a risk governance or an operational strategy development role is desired.
- Strong prioritisation and organizing skills matched with the ability to manage stress, time, and change effectively
- Strong problem solving / analytical skills
- Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and work with minimal management oversight
- Ability to create effective work relationships across functions & borders
- Good presentation, time management, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience in managing various stakeholder groups is required.
