Quantity Surveyor (PUB/ Project Costin/ Water/ Infrastructure)

Our client is a prominent engineering consultancy specializing in water management and environmental services. As part of the global Binnies Group, the company delivers innovative solutions for infrastructure development and sustainability, partnering with public and private clients to enhance urban resilience and environmental stewardship.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-contract and post contract administration including the following: -
- Cost estimating and cost planning.
- Preparation of tender documents (including measurements and Bills of Quantities).
- Check progress claims and invoices and certifying work done by Contractors.
- Review and evaluate extra payment and/or extension of time claims by the Contractors and make recommendations to the Board.
- Tender management including evaluation of tender submission.
- Assist Contracts Manager, Project Manager in Contract management and cost monitoring, management of interim/progress payment, including variation assessment and finalization of account.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of construction, logistics, material management and the ability to provide cost and financial advice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or certification, and about ten (10) years of relevant experience in project costing, procurement strategies and scheduling for large used water/ water projects or infrastructure projects of similar scale and complexity.
- Able to manage stakeholders (Contractors, Client and Consultants).
- Experienced in Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC)
