We’re looking for a meticulous and experienced Project Cost Accountant to join our team and support our expanding project portfolio.
Job Description:
- Budgeting & Financial Planning: Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets for various design and architecture projects, ensuring alignment with project scope and objectives.
- Cost Tracking & Analysis: Track project costs, including materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses, and analyze variances. Prepare reports to ensure project costs align with budget projections.
- Invoicing & Payments: Review and approve project-related invoices for accuracy and compliance, managing payment timelines for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Financial Reporting & Forecasting: Generate regular financial reports, including cost forecasts and project expenditure summaries, to inform project managers and stakeholders.
- Project Reconciliations & Compliance: Reconcile project accounts with the general ledger and ensure compliance with internal financial controls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to align financials with project progress, providing insights to support decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project cost accounting, ideally within architecture, interior design, or construction industries.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
