Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer to support the financial leadership of our group of companies. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the Deputy Group CFO will play a critical role in ensuring financial excellence, assisting in the preparation for the NASDAQ listing, and contributing to strategic financial initiatives across the group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finance, corporate compliance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and financial performance management, with a strong ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership:
- Assist the Group CFO in overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and management of the group, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Provide guidance on day-to-day financial operations and key strategic initiatives.
- NASDAQ Listing Support:
- Support the Group CFO in the preparation for NASDAQ listing, ensuring that financial reporting and regulatory compliance meet necessary standards. Contribute to the readiness of financial systems and processes.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and corporate governance standards. Assist in managing relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies to maintain robust financial reporting.
- M&A Activities:
- Participate in M&A strategy, including due diligence, valuation, and integration planning. Support the Group CEO in executing M&A activities that align with the company's growth strategy.
- Performance Management:
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis. Provide insights and reports on monthly and quarterly financial performance, and help monitor financial metrics across the group.
- Operational Finance Oversight:
- Oversee the operational finance of specific business units or divisions, particularly within the video game distribution and publishing sectors, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments such as legal, business, sales, and marketing teams to align financial strategies with broader business goals. Ensure cross-functional collaboration to drive financial performance.
- Corporate Governance and Compliance:
- Assist the Group CFO in providing guidance on corporate governance and internal control matters, ensuring integrity in financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
- Team Leadership:
- Support the Group CFO in leading and developing the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development within the finance department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a group of companies or a public company.
- Experience supporting an IPO or public listing process is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, corporate governance, and compliance standards.
- Proven experience in M&A, financial modeling, and strategic financial planning.
- Familiarity with the video game distribution and publishing industry is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and develop finance professionals.
