Role Overview


As a Business Development Director, you will play a key role in driving new business opportunities and growing our client base, targeting foreign entities entering Singapore. You will be responsible for identifying and nurturing leads, building relationships with prospective clients, and presenting our suite of recruitment solutions to key decision-makers in various industries. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the company’s growth and success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting - Identify and generate new business leads through various channels including, networking, and referrals, partnership. Leverage market research to identify potential clients in need of RPO & HR Operation services in the Professional Services, Retail and F&B sectors.


  • Sales Presentations & Proposals - Conduct consultative sales calls and meetings with prospective clients to understand their HR needs, pain points, and business goals. Present tailored HR solutions and services to prospects, demonstrating how Emplifi can meet their hiring challenges.


  • Contract Negotiation & Closing - Lead negotiations to close sales and secure new contracts. Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful service delivery and client satisfaction post-sale.


  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting - Track and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics. Weekly updates with accurate information regarding lead status, opportunities, and potential deals.


  • Market & Industry Expertise - Stay current on market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices to continuously refine the sales approach. Use this knowledge to effectively position Emplifi’s services and differentiate it from competitors.


  • Collaboration with Internal Teams - Collaborate with the recruitment, HR Operations and client success teams to ensure seamless service delivery and to identify new opportunities for cross-selling or upselling existing clients.

Key Requirements

  • Experienced in regional and/or China markets.


  • Native speaker and business proficiency of Mandarin as candidates will be targeting Chinese firms entering Singapore


  • In-depth understanding of the Chinese corporate culture and decision making process


  • Proven track record in B2B business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the recruitment or talent acquisition industry

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.


  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.


  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify business opportunities and effectively manage the sales pipeline.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, HR, or a related field is preferred.
