Flight Simulator Technician/ Senior Technician

You will be required to:

  • Perform pre-flight operations and post-flight operations on all training devices and complete the necessary documentation.
  • Perform all preventive maintenance works and corrective maintenance works on all training devices as assigned.
  • Respond to customers' training needs in a courteous and timely manner to ensure that the required reliability and availability of all training devices are met consistently.
  • Adhere to AST’s quality standards.
  • Assist in diagnosis on all training devices to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components where possible.
  • Assist in the modification and upgrading of simulators training devices and related system components, devices, hardware, and software.
  • Assist in running Qualification Test Guides.
  • Perform logistical/administrative duties as demanded, including updating of technical documentation or logistical information.
  • Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulator, training devices and related components.
  • Make spare parts requests, shipping and receiving of parts and components.
  • Assist and participate in national aviation authorities’ evaluations.
  • Perform task to support our team as required.


You would ideally possess:

  • Diploma or University bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (Aviation, Electronics, Automation, Mechanical etc).
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment on a 12 Hour rotating shift (Day/Night) roster.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics of electronics, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Analytical thinking, with a high level of responsibility and ownership.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team and have a result-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in using and repairing PLC, electronics and computer equipment is advantageous.
  • Experience in working with simulators or a similar field is advantageous.
  • Ability to commence work immediately or within short notice is preferred.
  • Entry Level is welcomed.
  • Able to work 12 hours shift.
