Purpose of position

In the Cluster Supply Organisation, business specialists, business experts, engineer specialists, engineers and product owners work together as a team. The agile methods support the team members in performing their functions by facilitating a rapid and flexible response to changing conditions and customer needs through an iterative approach and the continual development of new solutions.

This approach is intended to bring about better products, higher quality, more efficient processes and higher implementation speeds. The team works together to ensure that valuable functionalities are provided to customers and that existing products, processes and services are developed and improved in line with customer needs.

To achieve this, the team members organize their own activities, working autonomously and with full accountability. To that end, they are granted responsibility for all processes and systems needed for the products, processes and services for which they are accountable. Open communications among the team members ensure regular and timely feedback. This enables the team to adopt a “fail fast” approach – i.e. the rapid recognition and correction of mistakes, which permits a quick reaction to changing conditions and customer needs by means of iterative procedures.

The engineer has a technical focus and acts in the capacity of a cell member. Depending on suitability, qualifications and requirements, he/she may also assume the role of scrum master.

He/she has an agile and digital mindset, and continually adapts it to changing requirements, using the available development opportunities.

The engineer is deployed where his/her knowledge and experience are needed, and therefore demonstrates flexibility with regard to assignments to various cells and chapters, even across cluster boundaries.


Main Tasks

  • Working in a cross-functional team to be able to perform all tasks required to deliver the relevant products, services, processes and systems.
  • Product portfolio management and steering, implementation and ongoing development of one or more products, services, processes and/or systems across the entire life cycle in a team, taking quality standards into account.
  • Preparing and implementing digital strategies, ensuring the core infrastructure of products, services, processes and systems; full commitment to innovative technologies; establishment and expansion of the use of digital channels
  • Continual optimisation of uniform and efficient process organisation concepts
  • Acquisition, ongoing development and transfer of operational/process-related/IT knowledge on assigned issues.
  • Application and ongoing development of the necessary skills to set up new, future-ready digital architectures.
  • Concept design and implementation of agile quality assurance and risk management
  • Implementation of analysis and development of concepts based on tracking of markets, trends and the competition.
  • Pricing and benchmarking
  • Customer and interface management, including needs analysis, advice and support for central functions and clusters with regard to assigned issues.
  • Ensuring that internal and external standards are met, in particular with regard to regulatory issues, reporting, compliance and auditing in the context of assigned issues and applying best practices.
  • Operation, support and maintenance of infrastructure, including performant support for relevant systems, data updates, reporting and user authorisation management.
  • Compliance with security standards and ensuring stable operations with regard to products, services, processes and systems.
  • Improvements to products, services, processes and/or systems must take into account the requirements of barrier-free IT access / software ergonomics in accordance with the objectives of the Commerzbank action plan, "Inclusion".

Formal education:

  • University/college degree or comparable certifications

OR

  • Work experience in a business segment relevant to the cluster.

Minimum of one year work experience for COMMAP Ladder ST Level 1.

Minimum three years' work experience for COMMAP Ladder ST Level 2.

Career level 01

  • Responsibility for and leadership of one or more interfaces, sharing specialised knowledge within cells and/or chapters.
  • Working in a cross-functional team so that all tasks required to deliver the relevant products, services, processes and systems can be completed
  • Defining processes, taking into account regulatory standards and process control parameters on the basis of assigned problems and objectives in task area, quality assurance, problem and risk management in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
  • Taking on controlling tasks with regard to activities, budget and resources
  • Preparing management decisions and support in coordination with stakeholders
  • Product portfolio support for heterogeneous / multidimensional products, services, processes and/or systems across clusters in accordance with quality standards
  • Involvement in implementing defined digital strategies and innovative technologies across cluster boundaries
  • Preparing the comprehensive test concept, combining test specifications and implementing plausibility and dependency tests as well as identification of test risks; taking appropriate countermeasures
  • Responsibility for compliance with the test process and standards as well as responsibility for the quality of the test design
  • Responsibility for and implementation of tests as well as consultation and support for testers
  • Overall responsibility for defect management (follow-up, analysis and reporting)
  • Cross-cluster operation, support and maintenance of infrastructure, including support for relevant systems, data updates, reporting and user authorisation management

  • Concept development, support and ongoing development of products / services / processes / systems within the cell, development of solutions geared to requirements.
  • Analysis, continual optimisation, implementation and transparent documentation of processes, taking into account regulatory requirements and process management parameters to fulfil defined targets / regular tasks.
  • Efficient, high-quality and timely implementation of own tasks, taking into account security, proper procedures and risk.
  • Active control and management of costs/revenues/quality within own working area along with identification of risks under supervision
  • Recognition and problems specific to own specialised area, assessment of these problems using standard processes, preparing / developing solutions.
  • Matching of internal and external data, preparing comparisons, participation in pricing processes, creating proposals and preparing decision papers based on gathered market data.

Description of specifications with regards to work profiles

This is for the role of a Data Center Manager. Role specific responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all data center operations, including technical operations, facility management, and security compliance
  • Planning and coordinating data center activities, including system installations, upgrades, repairs and maintenance
  • Ensuring high availability and performance of the IT systems, applications and services hosted in the data center
  • Managing relationships with vendors and service providers, and ensuring they meet their contractual obligations
  • Coordinate with IT departments to align data center operations with business goals.
  • Monitoring the data center’s environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, etc.) and ensuring they are within the specified limits
  • Developing and managing the data center’s budget, and ensuring cost efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Coordinating disaster recovery and business continuity procedures
  • Maintaining high availability and performance of the data center.
  • Ensuring data center operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Developing and implementing data center policies and procedures.
  • Plan and manage data center budget.
  • Conduct regular system audits and generate reports for management.
  • Coordinate and manage data center projects
