Note:
This role will require the incumbent to work in 24 x 7 shift patterns of 8-12 hour shifts each (rotating shifts).
This will include night shifts.
Job Description:
- Scope of Work: - Work closely with project teams to understand requirements and objectives, ensuring seamless integration of network infrastructure
- Provide comprehensive support for the entire project, encompassing Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices.
- Conduct cyber assessments in support of technology initiatives to help identify IT related risk and determine appropriate controls to mitigate risks
- Conduct thorough network assessments, identifying potential improvements and upgrades to align with project goals.
- Implement and manage network and security solutions to support project initiatives, prioritizing scalability, performance, and robust security. - Configure and optimize network devices, including routers and switches.
- Configure Multicasting Protocols to ensure efficient multicast traffic distribution.
Key Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Background in Information Engineering, Network Security or Cyber Security areas
- Experience as a Network Security Engineer, preferably in project-oriented environments
- CCNA and CCNP Certified
- Any IT Security Certification is a plus
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and architectures (e.g., OSPF, BGP, IP Multicast, Policy Routing).
- Experience in Layer 3 Routing and Layer 2 Switching, with strong expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco devices.
- Experience with network infrastructure design and implementation, including LAN/WAN, data centers, and cloud networks.
- Skilled in deploying Layer-2 technologies like VLANs, VTP, STP, RSTP, Inter-VLAN routing, VLAN Trunking, Ether Channels, VLAN access-maps, and port security.
- Familiarity with network security principles, including firewalls, IDS, NAC, and access control
