The Role:
Be a part of IHH SG Finance Team - to lead, manage and support the hospitals and healthcare units in financial reporting, audit and tax related matters.
Key accountabilities:
- Responsible for the monthly close of a portfolio of legal entities/ business units
- Manage yearly statutory audit deliverables and ensure completion within the stipulated timeframe
- Periodic review all Balance Sheet items for validity and completeness
- Ensure compliance with GST and provide support to Group Tax dept on income and property tax queries and filings
- Business Partnering to drive performance towards targeted results, supported with monthly variance analysis
- Work closely with business units on the forecasts and budget reporting, ensuring alignment with the business strategies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives on processes and digitalization of financial reporting through the use of automation tools
- Develop and maintain a good internal control environment which will improve the quality of the financial reporting
- Partner with cross-departments colleagues to resolve issues and achieve joint goals
- Mentor, nurture and train staff
- Keep abreast with accounting standards, tax regulation, key developments and reflect the changes in financial reporting
- Other duties and projects as and when assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy / ACCA qualified
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Well-versed in accounting standards
- Possess 5 to 7 years of experience in leading and managing a team, and business partnering experience with the ability to influence
- Must be proficient in SAP and Cognos Controller. Knowledge of automation tools will be an advantage.
