The International Centre for Aviation Innovation (ICAI) is set up to drive innovation across all aspect of aviation including Air Traffic Management, smart & digital airports, sustainable aviation and unmanned systems. As the first-of-its-kind innovation centre in Asia, the Centre seeks to foster partnerships amongst governments, industry, and research institutes to drive development, deployment, and adoption of aviation technologies.
What the role is
The Head of LDC Management Support at the International Centre for Aviation Innovation is responsible for NexGen program management progress tracking, NexGen LDC internal and external stakeholder management, and NexGen LDC's middle and back office management. The role is integral to the NexGen Local Development Centre's mission to build local capability to undertake indigenous co-deployment, co-development, and maintenance of CAAS' NexGen Air Navigation Service System.
What you will be working on:
Program management progress tracking
- Consolidate program status and summarise status as a dashboard for management update
- identify potential challenges in conjunction with the program leads in the areas of schedule, cost, quality, security, safety, and update management with recommendations to enable timely decision making and intervention
Stakeholder management
- Internal - Manage relationship and communications with CAAS NGPO and ATS
- External - Manage relationship and communications with the selected prime and sub-contracted OEMs, and LLEs. Facilitate innovation and knowledge exchange with stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive collective growth.
Middle Office
- Responsible for setting up the physical working space for the LDC in coordination with ICAI Office Manager
- Responsible for the IT infrastructure for the LDC in coordination with LDC Software and Network Infrastructure Lead
- Responsible for the data and knowledge management under the supervision of ICAI Chief Engineer
Back Office
Human capital
- Develop talent strategy - establishment pyramid; talent pipeline development; talent identification and management; policies on promotion, rotation, and retention; and competency development roadmap.
- Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of mission, collaboration, and innovation.
- Coordinate with CAAS to recruit LDC staff.
- Coordinate with CAAS on upgrading and training of LDC staff, and with OEMs for OEM training. Track competencies of LDC staff.
- Coordinate with CAAS Head of Eco-system on the rotation of staff in the local aviation eco-system.
Procurement and Finance
Coordinate with CAAS for LDC related procurement and finance.
Resource management
Serve as the point of focus for managing all LDC resource requirement and coordinate with CAAS and ICAI for new resource requirements.
Office administration
Responsible for all LDC administrative matters in coordination with ICAI Office Manager.
