Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is seeking a passionate and qualified Research Associate/Assistant in machine learning and AI to lead a research project investigating the use of digital biomarkers to predict student mental health condition. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a data acquisition pipeline with external collaborators.
- Develop predictive AI and machine learning models for mental health applications using data extracted from wearables.
- Analyzing and interpret data acquired and draft insightful reports and presentations summarizing research findings, methodology, and potential implications.
- Publish research findings in top-tier journals and conferences.
- Manage project timelines, budget, and resources effectively to ensure deliverables are met.
- Foster a collaborative research environment and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Develop presentations and reports tailored for diverse audiences, including academic and non-academic stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of grant proposals to secure funding for future research projects.
Key Competencies and Requirements:
- A minimum of a B.Eng. or equivalent qualification in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience in developing predictive machine learning models
- Experience using database interrogation and analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of data analytics theory, enabling the transformation of raw data into meaningful insights that address research questions.
- Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
- Advanced coding and data processing skills to efficiently execute research ideas.
