ABOUT UNLEASH THE ROAR!

Unleash the Roar! (UTR!) − is a national movement which aims to raise the levels of Singapore football, build strong support systems to nurture our next generation of talents and rally the nation behind the share dream. It is a long-term, whole-of-society effort covering grassroots development, elite youth pathways, infrastructure and community / fan engagement.

UTR! Scholarships aim to transform the journey of exceptional student-athletes by exposing them to optimal training and competition environment both locally and overseas, while ensuring their continued academic development. UTR! Scholarships also supports the professional growth and development of our high potential local coaches through attachment to international clubs from matured football nations.

Reporting to the Scholarships Team Lead, your key job responsibilities are details below. You will also be required to support other UTR! teams / initiatives during peak when necessary.


Job Descriptions:

Scholarships Planning & Management

  • Planning: Develop the annual programme plans that outline timelines, milestones, and responsibilities for each stage of the scholarship lifecycle—from outreach to award disbursement.
  • Oversee the Portfolio of Scholarships Programmes:Manage the entire lifecycle of scholarship programmes for both players and coaches, from application processes, selection criteria, award, operations and management.
  • Application Evaluation: Assess scholarship applications, ensuring they meet eligibility requirements and align with the desired objectives.
  • Coordination with the Selection Panel: Organise and facilitate selection meetings, including hosting interview panels to evaluate candidates.
  • Policy Alignment:Ensure adherence to scholarship policies and practices, regularly updating them to reflect changes in desired objectives or SOPs.

Financial Management

  • Budget Planning & Oversight: Plan and manage scholarship budgets by tracking expenses related to scholarship holders and partners / institutional payments.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on scholarship expenditures and outcomes to provide insights into program effectiveness.

Engagement & Outreach

  • Community Engagement:Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness about available scholarships among target demographics.
  • Event Organisation: Plan and execute events such as parent engagement sessions, scholarship award ceremonies / events.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partnership Development: Cultivate relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance scholarship visibility and accessibility.
  • Feedback Mechanism: Gather feedback from stakeholders regarding the scholarship process and make recommendations for improvements based on data analysis.

Administrative Support

  • Database Management: Maintain accurate records in scholarship databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Communication Management: Handle inquiries from applicants regarding scholarships, providing timely and informative responses.
  • Documentation Preparation:Prepare necessary documentation for scholarship awards, including contracts and letters of acceptance.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above sport management, business administration or related field. Diploma holders are welcome to apply; renumeration / package will commensurate with candidates’ qualifications and experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience for both Senior Executive and Executive level. Fresh graduates with good aptitude are welcome to apply.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, competing timelines / deliverables simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation and collaborative in mindset.
  • Can work independently and have problem solving skills and ability to navigate in ambiguous and dynamic work environment.
  • This job might require working on weekends and/or travelling when necessary.
