Our Water Business would like to hire a Mechanical Engineer to be part of the team managing Mechanical matters for the extension project of a water plant in Tanah Merah, Singapore. This is an on-site position, work across all contracts to monitor, support, and guide the implementation of all mechanical works either designed by the Consultant or by the Contractors including the procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of all the mechanical-related works. The role will work closely with the Electrical and ICA engineers within the project team as well as the discipline leads in Jacobs.

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; RE registration is not a must, but will be an added advantage.
  • Between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience in the mechanical design and construction of infrastructure projects in Singapore. Experience in the design and implementation of mechanical works including site testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Experience in generating/reviewing Design Calculations related to Mechanical Equipment and Accessories.
  • Willingness to be initially based at the site office and progressively build up a career to be a future lead mechanical engineer within Jacobs.
