The successful candidate is responsible for assisting in formulating / managing initiatives to implement/enhance local credit policies, workflow and frameworks to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and mitigate any emerging risks in the Branch’s credit portfolio.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To support in formulating and reviewing credit risk management related policies and procedures to ensure alignment with bank’s business and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in reviewing internal credit risk management rules and procedures to ensure that they are in compliance with Head Office rules and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance / streamline the credit processes and credit risk management framework.
  • To support in submitting and presenting proposed credit policies / guidelines to Management for approval.
  • To implement and communicate new / revised credit policies to stakeholders, conduct training / briefing sessions where necessary.
  • Assist in internal, external and regulatory audit/inspections.
  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations
  • Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines

Job Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of working experience in credit risk management related policy frameworks / MAS regulations in a financial industry and/or in audit/assurance.
  • Basic knowledge / understanding of Banking products, local MAS regulations relating to credit risk management.
  • To be able to interpret the policies and provide sound advice to team members as well as being able to apply changes to the Bank’s current rules and procedures.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence others.
  • Degree qualified
