Direct Contract - 12 months (1 month bonus)
The open position is for a major financial services project focused on meeting evolving regulatory requirements. The project involves the redesign of a global, adaptable platform for market risk management, aimed at enabling automated reporting, real-time processing, and enhanced monitoring capabilities.
Job Description:
- Lead technical studies and propose solutions, collaborating with infrastructure, big data experts, and business analysts.
- Document and develop proposed solutions, ensuring all CI/CD artifacts are included.
- Perform code reviews, promote best practices, and mentor team members.
- Provide reports and updates to project managers.
- Monitor technical risks and escalate to management as needed.
- Research, design, and develop software solutions based on user needs.
- Update software, enhance existing capabilities, and develop/testing procedures.
- Integrate hardware/ software systems with other engineers.
- Ensure autonomy and leadership in non-functional deliverables like testing tools, performance/l oad testing, and production monitoring.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in software development.
- 5+ years in Java/J2EE development.
- Hands-on experience with data ingest and processing technologies (Spark Streaming, Spark).
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, Flume, ActiveMQ, MQSeries, RabbitMQ).
- Proficient in Hadoop (HDFS, HBase, Hive, ORC/Parquet, preferably Hortonworks).
- Familiar with build tools (Maven, sbt, ant), UML, RESTful web services, Jenkins/TeamCity, SVN/Git, TDD (JUnit), Jira/QC.
- Experience with solution design, performance tuning (especially in streaming), and awareness of anti-patterns.
- Familiarity with tools like Phoenix, ElasticSearch, Sqoop, and StreamSets.
