Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for formulating and implementing Commercial business plans to achieve the company goals and objectives.
2. Manage and promote the company’s core values, business objectives, and targets, including the development of supporting personnel and features for the continued growth of the company.
3. Induct, train, coach, and develop human resources within the department.
4. Maintain the discipline and cohesiveness of staff under charge, working towards achieving the corporate objectives. Have a nose for recognizing problems.
5. Write to internal or external customers most effectively and concisely. Conversely, must be able to converse concisely and timely.
6. Maintain the business infrastructures for the continued engagement of the company in the targeted core business sectors.
7. Registration of the company in the various Business and Qualifying Registration Bodies for the qualification to participate in the offering of the company’s service
8. Maintaining the management system and programmes, both internal support-based and external customer requirement-based, for the ability to provide an enhanced business environment.
9. Maintaining a database of customers’ information that will promote and improve the services of the company.
10. Managing the Budget Management System:
- 10.1. To review and assign the correct budget man-hours to the Production Department upon issuance of the job number.
- 10.2. To maintain or perform periodic reviews of sub-tasks in the ERP system to ensure prevalence in the execution of work.
- 10.3. Ensure that the Production Department's daily job planning is monitored and job execution status is updated in the ERP system timely.
- 10.4. To ensure that the Production Department's daily manpower planning against the actual timesheet is monitored and to review the variation report submitted by the commercial personnel before updating into the ERP system.
- 10.5. To manage the documentation and comprehensiveness of the documents in the Job File (“Pink File”) for the awarded job and the collection of the file upon completion of the job, and to ensure that project information is updated in the RERP system timely (within one week).
11. Manage the issuance of the Service Report (SR) or Form of Acceptance (FOA) at the close of the project and ensure that the Production Department gets the SR / FOA signed by the customer to ensure timely invoicing (electronic or manual).
12. Manage accounts receivable and overdue payments.
13. Generate the annual Revenue Forecast during the absence of the Commercial Officer.
14. Upkeep the marketing tools of the company.
15. Develop, inculcate, and enhance the sense of loyalty of both customers and staff.
16. Developing new marketable areas of business of continuous relevance to the company’s objectives.
17. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor or the Top Management.
18. To comply with the requirements and responsibilities as stated in the Risk Assessment (RA) concerning your position in the company, which will be briefed to you.
Minimum Requirements
- A Degree/Diploma in Engineering and/or from a business discipline.
- Experience in a senior management position with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on work experience and knowledge in managing a business division and doing costing.
- Knowledge in system management in an auditor capacity and experience in, and certified as an auditor in ISO Management Standard.
- Good interpersonal and salesmanship skills. Need to have good EQ.
