ALG is currently recruiting for Operations Assistants. This position is an entry-level, long-term contract role with an option to convert to permanent after 6 months.
Job Responsibilities:
Warehousing
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials or products.
- Organize, label, and maintain an orderly inventory of all items.
- Ensure the safe handling of products, following industry standards and safety guidelines.
Logistics
- Assist in the loading and unloading of goods, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Coordinate with logistics partners for timely and efficient transportation of products.
- Track and document inbound and outbound shipments.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring minimal discrepancies.
- Generate reports and documentation related to warehouse operations.
- Assist in the preparation of shipping documents, invoices, and packing lists.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and communicate reorder needs.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Ensure the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method for perishable items.
Safety and Compliance
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Assist in conducting safety audits and taking corrective actions as required
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year working experience, preferably in an similar environment
- Able to read and communicate in simple English
- Relevant certifications or courses in warehousing and logistics are a plus.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
