Quantity Surveyor (Marine Civil Engineering)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Tender and Bidding Team, including quantity measurement, preparation of Bill of Quantities, contract and drawing review, interpretation of specifications, preparing Requests for Information and Clarifications, issuing Requests for Quotation, building the tender base cost, setting the final submission price, compiling mandatory submission documents, preparing tender cost proposals for management review, and attending site briefings and kick-off meetings (if required).
  • Manage and supervise contract administration for assigned projects, including procurement of project materials, administration of main contracts and subcontracts, and conducting analysis and price comparisons.
  • Assist in sourcing and comparing three suitable quotations for project material requests, liaise with suppliers and purchasing teams, and monitor project order schedules.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, variation orders, and final account settlements, ensuring all invoices are submitted promptly.
  • Assess subcontractor progress claims, issue payment responses, and manage final payments.
  • Address issues related to Extensions of Time, Terms and Conditions, Prolongation Claims, and Loss and Expense Claims.
  • Perform additional quantity surveying (QS) duties as needed.


Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (minimum requirement).
  • 2-3 years of experience in quantity surveying preferred, though recent graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools, with experience in sourcing, purchasing, and billing.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Working Hours: 9am-6pm (Mon-Fri), 9am-1pm (Sat), 5.5 days
