Project Engineer (Marine Civil Engineering)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare the construction schedule, coordinating all project activities.
  • Track and report progress for both on-site and off-site project management.
  • Prepare and submit required progress reports to consultants and clients.
  • Analyze project specifications, including civil/structural, architectural, and M&E drawings.
  • Monitor construction activities closely and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with standard regulations.
  • Handle other project-related administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Coordinate and arrange site inspections with the Resident Engineer (RE) and Resident Technical Officer (RTO).
  • Schedule and lead daily toolbox meetings with the Site Supervisor and Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator (WSHC), providing briefings on site activities and tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Site Supervisor to organize daily site activities.
  • Attend monthly and weekly safety meetings, as well as site meetings with the client.
  • Prepare and submit necessary project documentation, such as RFIs, Method Statements (MS), Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), shop drawings, and other supporting documents.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records and ensure document control for ISO compliance.
  • Organize a team to address emergency defects on Sundays and public holidays, and update the client’s WhatsApp group on resolution progress. (Emergency Recovery Work)


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the infrastructural or marine construction industry preferred, though recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience with dredging, reclamation, or near-shore construction projects is an asset.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and familiarity with BCA regulations.
  • Daily sea travel to the island work site is required.
  • Willingness to work on Sundays or public holidays as needed for project requirements (Emergency Recovery Work).
  • Flexibility to assist with various projects as needed.
  • Having personal transportation is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.



Working Hours: 7am-7pm (Mon-Sat)
