Deliver expert support and comprehensive administration of the Microsoft 365 cloud environment, ensuring a secure and reliable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently research, design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions for the organization.
- Oversee the Microsoft 365 environment, maintaining optimal availability, reliability, and performance.
- Continuously monitor system health; review, analyze, and test system performance.
- Conduct annual refresh for hardware, including endpoint devices and network equipment.
- Provide regular updates, perform backups, and restore data as needed.
- Work with internal teams to enhance functionality and improve user experience.
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and leavers.
- Document system configurations, processes, and create IT user guides.
- Deliver high-level support, working with internal teams and external vendors to resolve both onsite and offsite issues (including vessel support).
- Travel internationally to support vessel IT systems when vendors are unable to resolve issues remotely.
- Serve as the IT procurement officer, managing vendor relationships with excellent vendor management skills.
- Track and manage billing and subscriptions for SaaS applications and Microsoft 365.
- Maintain an inventory of IT hardware and software assets.
- Perform daily, monthly, and annual IT operational checks.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing and administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Over 2 years of experience as L1 support in a mid- to large-sized enterprise.
- Strong skills in customer service, communication, and problem-solving.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with networking and firewall configurations is a plus, though not mandatory.
