We are looking for a skilled, hands on and adaptable Electronics/Development Engineer to join our team and work on our next generation diagnostic product. Position Overview:
To play a key role in completing product development, testing, and optimizing of the diagnostic platform. This involves working hands-on with both molecular diagnostic equipment and test cartridges, focusing on optics, electrical engineering, prototyping, and EMC testing.
Help select and qualify key partners and suppliers to ensure a robust supply chain and successful delivery of highest quality end product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on design, prototype, and optimisation of the optical and electrical systems for the Company’s molecular diagnostic platform.
- Play a key role in the Company’s overall product development process, activities and milestones, involving collaboration with cross-functional teams in both Germany and Singapore.
- Perform EMC testing to ensure compliance with specified standards and troubleshooting of any system-level issues.
- Participate in the selection of key partners and suppliers, ensuring the highest quality materials and services are integrated into the product development process.
- Work closely with product development and manufacturing teams to improve existing designs and processes, ensuring high performance and reliability of the molecular diagnostic platform.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration across geographically dispersed teams to achieve project milestones.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in hardware development, preferably within the medical device or diagnostics sectors.
- Strong understanding of optical systems design and integration, particularly in biochemical detection.
- Solid foundation in electrical engineering, with experience in circuit design, signal processing, and microcontroller integration.
- Experienced in prototyping and iterating hardware designs, with a focus on delivering practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Experienced with EMC testing and product compliance.
- Willing and flexible to travel between Germany and Singapore as needed for project collaboration, development, production and supply chain activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced with PCR or other molecular diagnostic platforms.
- Familiarity with Regulatory standards like FDA,CE and Quality standards like ISO 13485.
- Familiarity with Documentation processes during Product Development, in order to meet Regulatory and Quality requirements
- Experienced in supplier selection, qualification and vendor management, particularly in the medical devices space.
