Job Description
- Perform cash, securities, net asset value and derivative positions against counterparty’s or custodian’s records.
- Ensure reconciliation discrepancies are followed up with counterparties and custodians and all breaks are explained and resolved in a timely manner.
- Generate and prepare monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc valuation reports for internal and external clients.
- Prepare numbers for regulatory surveys and internal management reporting.
- Review of semi-annual and annual reports to unitholders prepared by service providers.
- Prepare and send out reports to relevant parties timely.
- Assist in ensuring that all procedures performed by the team are in accordance with the Operations Manual.
- Assist in coordinating portfolio transition matters with clients, internal departments and custodians.
- Problem solving on any deliverable issues.
- Attending to queries from internal and external parties.
- Review and streamline processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Assist in projects undertaken by the team.
Job Requirements
- Degree, preferably in Business, Finance & Accountancy
- At least 5 years in Asset Management Operations or investment service support experience. Need to have proven working knowledge of equity, fixed income and derivative products.
- Advanced securities product knowledge and fund accounting experience will be a plus.
- Meticulous and self-motivated individual, able to work under pressure, and simultaneously handle multiple assignments.
- Team oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to forge strong relationships with internal and external clients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular, MS Excel and Word
