You will be part of International Projects team within Changi Airports International (CAI) or its subsidiaries. You will have the opportunity to work with our team of consultants and value partners who provide professional and consultancy services to client airports in the following functional areas:
- Traffic Development
- Non-Aeronautical Commercial
- Airport Operations
By the nature of our business, you will receive significant international exposure working with a diverse set of projects, partners, public and private stakeholders and clients. You can expect to be cross-trained to take on Traffic Development, Commercial, Airport Operations-related projects as part of your career growth and be developed as a well-rounded airport professional over time. You are expected to confidently communicate and interact extensively with our clients and stakeholders independently. The role is also expected to support assignments that are based in China and/or Mandarin-speaking market segments, and you are expected to be proficient in Mandarin language. Over time, subject to outstanding performance and progress of your growth, you can expect to be developed to take on leadership roles such as the General Manager of the client airport’s business venture, established in partnership with CAI.
Responsibilities:
Traffic Development
- Develop strategic analysis to grow passenger / cargo traffic and aeronautical revenues for client airports.
- Assess the traffic development potential for target airports.
- Execute innovative and effective airline / industry marketing strategies.
- Build business cases for airline network planners.
- Work with industry, economic development and tourism authorities to drive growth of passenger and cargo traffic within identified target air service markets.
- Perform data analytics work to improve data tools and develop new data solutions where necessary.
Commercial Development
- Develop airport commercial strategy to grow airport revenue and enhance asset value involving conducting market research to gain insights to consumer behavior and industry benchmarking.
- Enhance Commercial layout configuration, Product and tenant mix configuration.
- Drive Tenant Marketing campaigns which could include crafting narrative, using social media and organizing roadshows.
- Draw up business plans which could include revenue modelling and financial analysis and term sheets for key commercial contracts.
- Conduct commercial performances analytics against budgets.
- Client engagement includes due diligence, reporting and presentations.
Airport Operations
- Provide guidance to Changi’s overseas airports, as well as client airports in operational areas.
- Analyse operational flows / processes and the passenger journey, identify pain points and recommend solutions.
- Guide / Support our asset airports and clients in developing processes, SOPs and manuals to meet regulatory, operational and business needs.
- Work with our counterparts at our asset airports to resolve operational issues.
Requirements:
- Good degree in any discipline with at least 8 years of related overseas work experience with minimally 5years in an airport traffic development role, or an airline network planning or revenue management role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin as you are required to interact with clients in China and/or Mandarin-speaking market segments.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and adjacent plugins, specifically advanced Excel, PowerPoint and think-cell.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
- Must be able to work independently, driven and takes initiative to drive/lead changes to improve from status quo
- Ability to navigate and steer the team through complex situations to make progress and achieve desired outcomes
- This appointment requires frequent travelling. You must also be prepared to be stationed overseas for the contract duration.
- This is a 2-year contract on a renewable basis.
