Job Description:
- Anticipate regulatory trends and their implications and establish environmental compliance that apply to business units and their processes
- Enact internal corporate sustainability policies and develop standards and metrics to advance environmental stewardship
- Conceptualize projects, coordinate implementation and leads and track progress to coordinate various operational efforts
- Oversee environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting and benchmark with industry peers
- Lead the Risk management operations including risk identification, assessment, prioritisation, mitigation plan development and residual risk tracking
- Support the development and implementation of business continuity management program including incident and crisis response structure and process, business impact analysis and business continuity plan
- Drive quarterly risk management process, conduct risk discussions with risk owners, facilitate to construct and/or reconstruct new or existing risk registers
- Monitor key risk indicators and mitigation plan progress and preparation of regular risk reports
- Provide risk advisory to business and functional stakeholders and support them on designing and implementing risk controls
- Keep abreast of relevant external events including regulatory changes, geopolitical events, macroeconomic environment, social developments and their associate risks
- Promote risk awareness and competency across the group through communications, training and risk workshops
- Work with Internal Audit and other governance functions to address gaps in risk management
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Environment, or a related discipline
- At least 6 years of experience in sustainability, enterprise risk management, corporate strategy or other related domains such as operational risk management, internal control, internal audit of a medium-sized enterprise or governmental ministry/ statutory board
- Possesses broad exposure to risk management and/ or sustainability, with deep knowledge of the various frameworks that can be applied for business enterprises
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders and senior management in risk and sustainability discussion
- Well-organised, attention to details and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
- Strong sense of responsibility with the ability to work alone with minimum supervision
- Strategic and forward-thinking individual who is excited to make and lead changes in the strengthening the risk and control environment
