System Maintenance and Monitoring:
· Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups on system and network.
· Continuously monitor system performance and health, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
· Ensure all IT systems and infrastructure are running efficiently and securely.
Troubleshooting and Support:
· Respond to and resolve system-related issues and outages in a timely manner.
· Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT team members.
· Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Security and Compliance:
· Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect IT systems and data.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
· Manage backup systems and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
· Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and conduct regular testing.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, and procedures.
· Generate and analyze system performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
· Collaborate with other IT staff to develop and implement best practices.
Collaboration and Communication:
· Work closely with other IT team members to support various IT projects and initiatives.
· Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system status and maintenance activities.
· Train and mentor junior staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in IT systems maintenance or a similar role.
- Proven experience in maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure in a complex environment.
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server and/or Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM or HCI.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS) and data management techniques.
- Scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.
- Good leadership skill
