Job Description


The Signature Research Programme in Health Services & Systems Research (“HSSR”) in Duke-NUS Medical School is a centre of academic excellence for research and education on the organisation, funding and delivery of health services. The programme’s focus is on public health and clinical service innovation in an increasingly complex and connected world. The major research focus of HSSR is the organisation and delivery of health and social services in the context of an ageing population. The research methods include decision science and simulation modelling, survey research, qualitative research, health economics, and implementation science and evaluation. We are also developing a range of education activities for health care professionals including short courses, graduate certificates, Masters course and PhD programmes.


A Senior Research Fellow position is currently available, and the successful candidate will be expected to perform a variety of research activities which include but not limited to the following: -

  • Build up an Implementation Science core in HSSR and Health Services Research Institute (“HSRI”)
  • Bring in grants in collaboration with our collaborators.
  • Support research activities relevant to the scope of HSSR and HSRI.
  • Be responsible for project management.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • PhD in Public Health or Health Services Research.
  • Minimum 3 years of postdoctoral work experience.
  • Prior experience in healthcare would be advantageous.
  • Possess strong writing and critical thinking skills.
  • Have excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Action-oriented, highly motivated, and target-focused.
  • Able to work both independently and as a team player in a diverse workforce.
