As a Design Engineer, your responsibilities are:
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction) on product design and development.
- Oversee the design and documentation of components made from precision machined parts and sheet metal.
- Employ Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools to enhance design manufacturability.
- Conduct impact analysis to refine designs, ensuring they meet specifications, project timelines, and cost objectives.
- Participate in technical discussions and present design solutions to clients.
- Coordinate the fabrication, assembly, and validation of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.
- Prepare drawing proposal and tooling design.
- Conduct tooling buy-o7 and hands-on tooling setup.
- Initiate and conduct the improvement project evaluation.
- Liaise with customer on design requirement and alignment.
- Liaise with factory on capability compliance.
- Responsible on tooling expenses and cost control.
Requirements:
- Min. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering/ Precision Engineering.
- Proficient in using Solidworks and/or other 3D modelling software
- Proficient in using CAD/CAM Programming
- Preferably with working knowledge and experience in tool & die, jig & fixtures design.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
